  1. Canon 5D mark III Event Photographer Package

    rent-5dmkiii-milwaukee

The Canon 5D mark III is built on Canon’s 22.3MP sensor and DIGIC 5+ processor.  It’s the perfect camera for event photographers, with an incredible AF system based on the flagship Canon 1Dx.  The focus improvements and low-light sensitivity make it the clear choice over the mark II for events indoors and at night.  The dual memory card slots allow for instant backup recording of images.

This package has been very popular with Milwaukee’s event and wedding photographers, who use it both as a primary camera or as a backup.  You can pick up on Friday afternoon and drop off on Monday morning for just the one day rate.

We include four Canon batteries, a charger, an on-camera flash, two 32 GB Compact Flash cards, one 64 GB SDXC card, a camera bag, and wireless remote.  Use your own EF-mount lenses or rent some of ours.

  3. 8TB eSATA/USB 3.0 External RAID Drive

    raid-array-esata-usb3-hdd

This RAID-capable enclosure features eSATA and USB 3 connections for fast data transfers.  The two 4TB drives offer 8TB of RAID 0 or 4TB of RAID 1 storage.  Use RAID 1 (mirroring) for critical data or RAID 0 (striping) for speed.

If you’re transferring from SSD drives, REDmags, XQD cards, or other high-capacity media, you’ll be glad to have  a large, high-speed storage solution.  We find this one is a great performer without breaking the bank.  Typical sequential write and read speeds over eSATA in RAID 0 are above 225 MB/s.

Please note, we can help with questions when you place and order or pick it up, but we’re unable to help you with file transfer problems on set.  We suggest hiring a qualified DIT to make sure your data is safe and your filesystems are configured properly.  Milwaukee has several, and we’re more than happy to recommend one.

Use the free app on any iPhone or Android device

Create killer timelapses with your DSLR or other camera and the Radian by Alpine Labs.  You program the Radian with your iPhone or Android device.  It makes precise motorized adjustments and automatically triggers your camera’s shutter for each exposure.  When you’re done, you have a beautiful timelapse sequence with even panning or tilting motion.

The Radian supports speed ramping and bulb ramping, giving you smooth starts and stops, and exposures through lighting changes like sunrise and sunset.  You can program a whole playlist of actions, allowing you unlimited creative control, without requiring you or your phone to be there.  It’s a motorized head and intervalometer in one. We include the shutter release cable for the Canon fullframe cameras like the 5D mark III, but you can use a different cable to trigger your 7D or Nikon camera as well.  Usually, we use the intervalometer function of Magic Lantern to give us supreme control.

Just load the free Radian app onto your smartphone, create your timelapse program, connect your phone to the Radian and upload your settings.  Then you can disconnect your phone and Radian does the rest!

Runs all night on a single charge.  Uses a micro-USB charging port.

Request RCA adapters if you need them.  Audio over SDI is possible, using the two 1/4″ phono inputs. Runs on AC power.  A power adapter is supplied.
